Jequirity bean alert

We have been asked to make parents aware of the following health announcement.

An alert has gone out for the recall of thousands of beaded bracelets sold in tourist attractions after it emerged they are made from a highly toxic seed. The Eden Project in Cornwall is just one of the vendors which sold the bracelet and is one of 36 retailers urging customers to return the red and black wrist charms.

They are made from the Jequirity bean - a deadly seed of the plant abrus precatorious which contains the toxin abrin, with which contact can be fatal.

Anyone who has a bracelet in their posession is being urged to bag the bracelet, wash their hands (avoiding contact with their eyes) and hand the bracelet in at the nearest police station.
