Our Lovely Library!

On Saturday, we welcomed Incube into school to install our incredible new library... We absolutely LOVE  it! See what you think of this incredible space, in the heart of our school.

This is the view from the upstairs balcony, and shows our library in all its splendour! It's bright, bold and beautiful!

There's even a tunnel from fiction to non-fiction!

 There are three working spaces in the library... and I've already seen children making very good use of the quiet!

Our 8 library friends need names! They joined us on Monday morning and have been donated by Pinnacle, the company who manage our school premises, as a 'birthday present' to mark our 7 year partnership. Thank you Pinnacle - every library should have Bears reading Books!

We are currently organising our book stock into categories to help us ALL find our favourite books, and to incorporate our lovely new fiction books into our collection. If any parents can help us with classifying and stickering, put next Wednesday and/or Thursday in your diary and come along and help! We will be having our 'grand opening' events next half term so watch this space...

 

We have also asked the children to come up with a new name for the library and each one of our 8 library friends in the picture above. Every bear needs a name, and we cannot call our library 'the library' for ever so get thinking! Entries should be passed to the school office as soon as possible!
